Liz Pounsett

Liz is a director, actor, theatre-maker, and arts educator and administrator. Liz is excited to be working with Historica Canada for the next year as their Manager of Programs and Education, creating educational resources and videos that explore the multifaceted stories of Canada's history and what it means to be Canadian. She was the Drama School Director at Young People’s Theatre for the previous ten years, where she was Assistant Director on Beauty and the Beast. Liz was Artistic Director of The Question Company and has directed with The Children’s Peace Theatre and Little Pea Revolution Theatre. Liz has taught acting, movement, clown, and mime at schools, theatres, and universities in French and English. Liz holds an MFA, Acting, from York University and studied at Ecole Jacques Lecoq.
